Notre Dame Parish Committees
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL: Chairman, Vandy Nachazel,
and Secretary, Pam Botta

Parish and Family Life: Loretta DeRuvo
This Committee has responsibility for banquets, parish
socials, welcoming new members, and youth ministry. We are in need of volunteers
who would like to help us plan and serve at parish functions and volunteers
who would like to visit newcomers to our parish. |
Communications: Maldo Jimenez
This Committee has responsibility for publishing information
regarding the various parish activities including maintaining an effective
calendar of civic and parish events. Current activities include maintaining
and upgrading our Web Site, developing a comprehensive volunteer list,
and development of various needed communication process. Individuals with
good oral and written communication skills and those with computer networking
capabilities are particularly needed to help on this committee. |
Education: Lisa Loewenkamp
Religious Education classes are offered for pre-K through
8th grade students on Sunday mornings before mass starting at 9:30 AM.
High school students meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 PM for
youth activities and religious education classes. Call the Rectory for
information regarding preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation,
First Eucharist and Confirmation.

Spiritual Life: Susan Collins
Current activities include organizing Sacrament preparation
for parish members, facilitation of both the adult and youth choirs, facilitation
and training of the parish lay ministers, and facilitation of the liturgy
committee.

Social Action and Social Justice: Ray Jones
This committee is to help discover the human needs of
the parish and to help create and support programs to meet those needs;
to help educate and make parishioners aware of peace and justice issues,
especially in light of the social teachings of the Catholic Church; to
empower people to take action on issues that affect their own lives; to
work with other churches, organizations, and programs to promote and strengthen
action for peace, justice, and charitable works; and to cooperate with
groups that advocate for people who are hurting, and to work for change
in public policy which affects the lives of people. |
Administration: Jack Siersma
Current activities include maintenance and improvement
of all church grounds and buildings. |
Finance:
Current activities include development and monitoring
of the parish budget, fund raising and organizing of the collection counters. |
