RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES are held for elementary grades on all Sundays during the school year from 9:30 am until 10:45 am.

HIGH SCHOOL FAITH FORMATION CLASSES are held every Wednesday night during the school year at 6:30 p.m. All high school age youth are invited.

YOUTH MINISTRY
ALL GIRLS RETREAT: High school students may participate to learn more about their dignity and how to persevere with what our Catholic faith has to offer. The date is March 16 – 18 at St. Mary’s in Oak Ridge. Cost is $30 and registration forms are in the narthex.

YOUNG MEN’S RETREAT: How to live a virtuous life is offered for high school students on March 23 – 25 at St. Mary’s in Oak Ridge. Cost is $30 and forms are available in the narthex.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP: All high school students are welcome to participate in our high school youth group and the next event will be Sunday, February 12 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the Ganz Youth Center. Bring a friend and a snack to share.

DEANERY YOUTH MEETING: The next deanery youth meeting will be at St. Patrick Church at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14. Transportation is provided and leaving from Notre Dame at 6 p.m. This will be a planning for the next DYC in November.

SLEEPLESS IN PIGEON FORGE: The date is 7 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 18 until 6 a.m. on Sun., Feb. 19, 2012. We will enjoy all that the Pigeon Forge Community Center has to offer: including swimming, bowling, volleyball, basketball, a dance and more! This is open to high school students and the cost is $29.00. Forms located in the narthex and deadline for registration is Feb. 12 to our youth minister, Susan Collins. Adult chaperones with safe environment training are needed.

SAVE THE DATE: YLI: Youth Leadership Institute will be at Horn’s Creek Resort in Ocoee, TN on July 13 – 16, 2012. The theme is “Sheep2Shepherd” and the approximate cost is $239.00. Space is limited to 25 youth per deanery on a first come, first served basis through May 15. Call Susan at 329-9173 for more info.
 
 

SPECIAL NEWS: David Place, son of Jack and Aimee Place, was named an Eagle Scout from BSA Troop 94 in Greeneville, TN.  David's Eagle Court of Honor was held on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Greeneville.  Attending the ceremony were the Place family, several other Notre Dame parishioners, and guests including Fr. Jim Harvey, Notre Dame's pastor, and Fr. John Appiah, Notre Dame's former pastor.

RECYCLE YOUR ALUMINUM CANS and contribute to the youth ministry at Notre Dame at the same time. Bins are located behind the garage for your convenience.  Please do not place anything except aluminum cans in this recycling bin.
